Trees can be covered by two types of legislation. If a tree falls within a conservation area (and has a trunk diameter of 5-7cm measured at 1.5m from ground level or greater) a Local Authority needs six weeks written notice of any proposed works.
If a tree is under a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), a Local Authority must give written consent before proposed works can begin. We offer a service where we can do all the relevant checks before supplying a written quote, so if you are unsure about anything we will explore all the correct avenues to get you the right answers.
All quotes are given subject to planning. Ockenden Tree Services will deal with all Local Authorities on behalf of customers, as part of our complete service.
